The Vestas wind turbine plant in Newport is threatened with closure, with the loss of 600 jobs.
Jobs are also threatened in Southampton. It is believed this will lead to further damaging unemployment on the Isle of Wight and southern England, hardship for many families, and will neglect technology which can be used to save the planet.
Vestas are being called on to withdraw its closure plan, and if it refuses, for the government to take over the plants and guarantee all the jobs.
